The 51st Sandy Show 2017

Happy New Year to all our members and supporters of the Sandy Show!

The 51st Sandy Show of the modern era, is taking place on Saturday 19th August 2017, in the Hall and grounds of Sandye Place Academy, Park Road, Sandy SG19 1JD. Gates open at 12 noon – main hall 12.30pm or as soon as judging of Show Classes has been completed.

Entrance £1.50 (accompanied children under 16 FREE!).

There are over 170 classes in our traditional flowers, fruit and vegetables; handicrafts – including art, photography, knitting sewing, model making, brewing, cake making and decorating, cookery and of course classes for juniors as well. In addition Sandy Library have classes for their younger members, who this year will be making ‘Octopusses’. The class schedules, rules and entry forms will be out on our website from the end of May and you will be able to download them either in full or by section. Got to our website at www.thesandyshow.org.uk to find out more. Hard copies of the Show Guide will be available at the Sandy Carnival in June, where the Association will have a stall.

As has become traditional, we will be laying on entertainment (all details for 2017 to be confirmed) but likely to be in the form of Punch & Judy, music from a local musical attraction, fair ride & games and a bouncy castle. Refreshments will also be available, including ice cream and the Tea Tent.

We hope to have displays of animals and Classic Cars, in addition to the usual trade stalls and the raffle.

Sandy Show 2016

Hello folks,

The 50th ‘Golden Jubilee’ Sandy Show of the modern era, is taking place on Saturday 20th August 2016, in the Hall and grounds of Sandye Place Academy, Park Road, Sandy SG19 1JD. Gates open at 12 noon.

Entrance £1 (accompanied children under 16 FREE!).

In order to make this a great family day out, we have laid on entertainment in the form of Punch & Judy, music from Stuart Clements, fair rides and a bouncy castle. Refreshments will also be available, including a hot food stall, ice cream and after a short break, the return of the Tea Tent!

Also on view will be Chris’s Animal Encounters, Michael Smith’s Owls, Classic Cars, trade stalls outside the main hall and more stalls inside the Hall, including a display of historic Sandy photos by Sandy Historical Research Group. The raffle will again feature a range of prizes to win so don’t forget to buy your tickets!
